Hualien and Taroko Gorge Day Tour

This was my first time going to Taroko National Park but my 3rd time using Mr Stephen's services. Absolutely amazing experience. Mr Stephen is very friendly and professional. During the necessary parts of the tour he let me borrow his flashlight and a rain poncho in order to stay safe and dry. I cannot recommend this enough, it is a must see part of any Taiwan vacation, even if only for a day.

Wonderful tour

Absolutely amazing and I definitely got my money's worth. This tour is especially great if you're a solo traveller, or if you only have a day to spend in Hualien . the guide was kind and helpful. He was very knowledgeable and always took his time to explain different points of interest to me. The lunch at the hotel was amazing!

Satisfaction

Although price is slightly higher than other products, we value that much. The lunch is good and the food is delicious. Josephine's guide is good too! It's a five hour round trip by train, but it's worth a while if you have a little trouble.

excursion to Taroko

Great! Well organized and the guide pretty well

The time I travelled was during outbreak of Coronavirus. Even though there were only 2 persons left for the tour, the tour still operated. This is very impressive. Overall I like the scenary of Taroko very much. Even though we had 15 minutes at Shakadang trail, but we got enough time for other stops.

Beautiful Taiwan

Taroko Gorge was awesome! The view was truly spectacular. Josephine, our tour guide, was very enthusiastic and funny.

Good & Enjoy ourselves

Our guide Josephine was flexible, helpful and very resourceful. Quick thinker. Swallow Grotto was closed but she was able to find alternative at Taroko.

Day trip to Hualien

You need to be physically fit in order to do this trip considering the long trails and the flights of stairs going to and from the trails. However, if you have no qualms about physical activity, then you will enjoy this trip. The places (Shakadang and Swallow Grotto Trails) you will visit are beautiful and worth the effort. Other places included in the itinerary are the following: a jade factory; hanging bridge; and the Silks Place Taroko Hotel, where you will have your lunch. I am a vegan and they served me delicious plant-based food. Josephine, our guide in Hualien, is very animated, hyper, and friendly. You will enjoy talking to her. Chikka, the girl responsible for the hotel-train station-hotel transfer, is also nice. Taipei to Hualien takes about 2 hours (and back again). Train is clean, comfortable, and has a wc (toilet).

Taroko National Park

Excellent tour guide with lots of experience and knowledge about Taroko National Park. A 'MUST VISIT' on the bucket list for any visitor to Taiwan !

In few hours one can discovered the scenery views on the Taiwanese mountains with the incredible roads between and inside the rocks

Taroko Hualien day trip

Fantastic trip! Lucky the weather was perfect, Taroko is truly beautiful. Chika met me at my hotel and we met everyone else at the station. Josephine, our guide in Hualien is quite a character, very energetic!! I would have loved to have more time to walk but it is a tour and for a tour it does what it should do. For me the visit to the marble factory could be deleted but it might appeal to some. This trip gives you a magnificent scenery with mountains, gorges, temple, ocean stop and a delicious lunch. Thank you!

The tour guide was informative and nice. We had a small group that day so it was easy to move around as a small pack. I had a blast - thanks !

The whole place was very pretty. The tour is just a highlights reel, but worth it for anyone with limited time

Fantastic scenery, but a screaming and raw stressed guide became an annoyance throughout the day. The visit to the marble / jade shop is also a total waste of time!

I couldn't pick up in the morning and couldn't speak Japanese even if I called. I can speak some Chinese, so I decided to head to the station by taxi. Watch out for everyone.

Interesting day trip to visit Taroko easily

A correct way to visit the Taroko canyon from Taipei without complicating your life. If you also agree with other interesting and friendly travelers, as was my case, the experience is enjoyed more. Very good food in a quality hotel. There is plenty of visit to the market-factory for tourists of jade and other jewelry. It is the only thing that prevents giving the maximum note to the visit and negatively balks the experience. Seriously, eliminating it would be beneficial for the agency. The pick-up at the punctual hotel and the guides in Taipei and the area are correct and pleasant.
