Mutianyu Great Wall Day Tour by Bus with Options

great way to be taken to MuTianyu great wall. need to pay extra for the cable car to get to point 14, so that you can walk to point 20. or you can walk all the way and it is free. but time probably not allow to do the hike.

I had a great day on Chinese Great Wall. I was lucky to have a guide whose name was Claire, she was helpful, kind and happy person. It was easy to communicate with her. Started from the meeting point in Beijing and throughout all the way everything was on high level, was well-organized. I definitely recommend to take tour of this company. Great job MUBUS team and many thanks!

Amazing, 100% recommended. The personal call me to my hotel to confirm pick up one day in ahead, and early morning call me to confirm that they was waiting in the lobby. In China they used wechat and I was worry because I don’t but they call me to the hotel and everything was ok

Roy was an excellent guide and very good at managing a large crowd of tourists. His instructions were clear as he’s fluent in English. I really enjoyed the tour as he briefly explained the history of the wall and materials used to glue them together. Buffet was sumptuous, lots of veggies. No shopping stops which I appreciated so the whole time was dedicated in exploring the walls and other attractions like cable car and toboggan. This tour is highly recommended.

Had a fantastic time with Leo Liu, who’s helpful and funny, at Mutianyu Great Wall and we’re lucky (and unlucky in some part) because there’s heavy snow fall during our visit that day. The Great Wall scenery was amazingly picturesque in snow. So lucky that the snow volume enabled us to build a snow man under the Great Wall! The unfortunate part is that we had to walk the distance Mu bus normally would have covered. We’re forced to change from Mu bus to share the Park Shuttle bus with other non-tour members. Another unfortunate part is that the Tobaggan was shut down. Mu bus picked us up from the hotel but do note that there’s no return trip back to the hotel by Mu bus. On Mu bus I could even buy a great pair of gloves for just ¥15.

This tour is really worth it.. I travelled with my family and book from klook. I joined Mutianyu tour with Classic Package, included pick up in the morning from my hotel with patient driver who really waited for me as i was late for 8mins to the hotel lobby... and he drove us to the bus and join the tour.. My guide Ms. Clair was very kind and good of explain about the great wall, we would visit. She also offered to book cable car from her and it make us easier.. the buffet lunch was good.. and mubus has meeting point which make us enjoy the hot coffee and chocolate while outside is really cold.. thanks again for Clair...

The local travel host, Fred (MUBUS) was very informative and cooperative to the customers. Excursion on Sunday was a smarter choice due to the lesser crowds onsite. The bus service was on time to/fro Mutianyu and you can opt extra ticket purchases I.e lunch or toboggan rides with the travel host onboard the bus. The winter sceneries were awesome there.

Easily the highlight of our China trip. And it was made even better by the hassle-free, very convenient tour we booked via Klook. Tour guide Claire was well organised and spoke very good English. Her tips on where to go after the great wall tour are very much appreciated. The tour itself did not feel rushed, considering there were a bus-load of us in the group. We had ample time to explore on our own. Food was good, but nothing to rave about. Will definitely recommend this trip, and we hope to do it again with the same tour operator on different season.

This trip was excellent! Our tour guide, Fred, and Mubus were really great at organizing and handling this tour from the get go and we followed the itinerary without delays. Also, the buffet lunch was superb. Moreover, they help you in getting the tickets for the cable car/ski lift-toboggan so it’s really hassle-free. Great way to tick off a bucket list item!

Overall, the trip was great. I received a text message from the tour guide on where to be for the pick up shuttle and they took us straight to the tour bus. Although there was some lack of communication when they came to pick us up about 50 mins late (definitely download WeChat if you haven't already to be able to communicate with the tour guide for updates). Look was nice enough to cover a free taxi ride back to our hotel for being late to pick us up. This is great service! Once you get on the bus, the tour guide will explain the options for you on what you can do once you reach Mutianyu. You can do a roundtrip cable car ride to Tower 14 and walk to Tower 20, you can get a roundtrip cable car to Tower 6 and toboggan down (which apparently takes 5 mins to go down). If you do both, you'll have to be very mindful of your time. It will cost 120 RMB for each. Highly recommend that you get the lunch option. There's a brand new restaurant at the meeting point with an upstairs Chinese buffet!

Nice experience. This is one of my bucket list to experience hiking in the great wall of china. Tried also toboggan ride. :)

Kudos to MUB for a highly educational and practical tour at the Mutianyu Great Wall of China. In the morning at the waiting point in Swissotel it was a little tricky because we couldn't easily find the Starbucks guidepost (it was a little dark to do so) but we eventually did. It was smooth-sailing from then on. Fred our guide gave us very useful and enlightening information. He explained about the history of the Great Wall succinctly. He gave is 3 choices on which track to take. He gave us the do's and dont's as well (e.g. vendor price was very high, possible downsides of the Toboggan, etc..) The lauriat lunch was quite filling. it truly is value-for-money. Mutianyu is a great choice because it's not crowded. The sceneries are breathtaking. The tour service is on point.

Fred was one of the best guide I had so far in China, English is very good overall and he gives nice explanations but also a lot of advices for the trip itself but also after when you are back in the city. Bus is confortable with reclinable seats and the lunch is cheap and good.

Never regret getting it from Klook. Mutianyu was superb especially our tour guide 小周。 He's a super nice guy whom explain to us all the little details and also ensure our safety during the walk. Highly recommended for everyone.

I have been to the other part of the Great Wall (Badaling) and this part (Mutianyu) is really less crowded. Therefore you can enjoy and take better pictures. The tour was went very smoothly and on time. Tour Guide (Michael) was very good and always on time. Lunch was buffet, so this is very good after a very tiring climb on the wall. Added tip: You have 3 options in going up the wall. One is climbing, second is via cable car and lastly via ski lift up and toboggan down. We chose the latter which in my opinion is the best experience you can have.

MUBUS is a great choice when touring the Great Wall of China. Very convenient and Fred, our guide, was really informative and helpful. Speaks great English. Everything went smoothly and the tour was always on time. Lunch was delicious! Chinese buffet style. Winter at the Great Wall is very harsh but the view makes up for it. Highly recommended! You get to enjoy your own pace in exploring the place and have the convenience of a group tour.

The trip to Great wall china was so cold coz winter but worth the money coz beautiful snow mountain view. Climbing the Great wall was adventurous and fun. Fred help us buying the cable car tickets for both ways. cable car stopped at point 14. so the rest of point 15 to 20, we slowly brisk walking, taking photos and enjoying the magnificent view. This trip is a MUST to go if going to Beijing.

MUBUS makes the whole trip very convienient and enjoyable. You get to skip all the nonsense and get straight into business climbing the great wall. No scams, no buying overpriced stuff, no worries. Loved it.

Travelling time was really long. Guide wasn’t very knowledgeable and interactive. Was forced to write a good review on TripAdvisor for him. Else, the Great Wall was amazing.

Had a wonderful experience with MuBus up to the Mutianyu Great Wall via the Basic Tour morning departure package. The tour guide Leo is very helpful and funny. The ride to the Great Wall was smooth and warm during the winter. We had ample time to explore the great wall on our own from section 14 to 20. By the time we reached back at the bottom we still have enough time to have lunch at the MuBus restaurant (which we have to pay as our package doesn't include meals, but was affordable). Everyone should definitely go up the Great Wall once in their life, and with MuBus.

Very coordinated tour. MUBUS tour is great. Our guide tony is wonderful. His command of english is good too! Bus leaves on time. Tony got us the cable car tickets for 120RMB. The lunch was awesome! Recommended!!!

Good Exp. Overall very good experience. The bus leaves exactly on time at 7:40, do get there at least 10 minutes earlier. I actually missed my bus but was able to catch the one leaving 20 minutes later run by the same company. They also reimbursed me 60rmb for missing out on my guided walking tour. Lunch is served at the base station at a buffet restaurant. The food is decent enough. December is very cold up on the wall so do bring plenty of warm clothes, however you will be surrounded by snowy mountains which makes for a breathtaking view. It is also considered low season so it was nice to experience the Great Wall without the large crowds.

Our tour guide was great! Claire was very organized and knowledgeable about our section of the Great Wall. She also helped us with our transporation after the tour, and she gave us very helpful tips for getting around tourist spots.

Excellent experience. The scenery at the top was breathtaking! Our tour guide Fred was very helpful and hilarious. He gave us good tips regarding routes and options. I loved his straight to the point, no BS attitude. The buffet at the restaurant was average, but considering the price, I can’t complain too much. Overall, I would recommend this tour.

i am very lucky can visit great wall at winter season. The scenery is very beautiful, because i am from Indonesia this is my first time seeing snow and combine with AAAAA+ tourism site A.K.A great wall mutianyu. This experience i will never forget entire of my life

The tour agent is very helpful and kind since i read the booking date wrongly. I Thought it was 28 dec and apparently it was 27 dec which makes me no show on the date i booked. I just figure it out on 27 dec noon and contact the local tour agent directly and they glad to help me to rearrange the tour on the 28 dec.My tour leader is claire and the driver is Brian. They so kind and good.

Overall a good experience but didn’t feel like the price was a ‘good deal’. It would have costed the same if not cheaper if we were to go ourselves. We had to get to the meeting place in the wee hours of the morning by taxi as the bus didn’t pick us up from the hotel. Had to buy extra tickets for the cable car which was not included. The lunch was quite good - it was a buffet in a decent restaurant. We had 3 hours of personal time on the wall which was great but too long in the cold! We were back in the city before 4pm and again was dropped off elsewhere so had to take the subway home to the hotel.

Well-organised tour, guide was very good too. Lots of information in English. Coach left on time, returned on time, the tour was very good value.

Michael, our tour guide, was by far the best tour guide I’ve met in Beijing. This trip was both educational and fun. We went to Mutianyu on our 2nd day in Beijing and it was amazing! Definitely recommending this to my friends!

It’s actually is MUBUS. My Tour Guide MICHAEL is Very Good and Very Helpful. Since, I booked feuture package which incl personal guide, Michael tell me more about history of Great wall. His Knowledge is very good. 9/10 for Michael. And MUBUS now have a basecamp in Mutian-yu. Where I got Buffet Lunch. Not Special but OK 7/10 for Buffet. They also sell any kind of beer. And the price is reasonable ¥25/bottle for Import Beer. For now they have promotion buy 2 get 1 free. Top

Easy to find the tour bus. Tour guide will talk about the history of Great Wall during the journey. Can get cable car and luge ticket from them. Lunch was simple buffet, easy to get food around the village. The 40mins guide is enough to find out some details of Great Wall. Recommend to book

Hotel pick up on time, Tour guide Steven Gao share some great wall history and food tips. During lunch time, Mr Gao translate great wall history in Chinese when know my wife not so undertand English. Lunch in buffet style. Nice.

This was the highlight of my trip! I really was looking forward going to the Great Wall and this tour did not let me down. Even if you book the basic packages, they’ll check again with you on the way to Mutianyu if you want to add cable car rides, chair lift, etc. They’ll explain first what the activities are and let you decide if you want to do them. Also, you have plenty of time to explore on your own. The food is good as well! It was a buffet lunch. Not all the food were Chinese food, they have pasta! They also give discounts to beer if you order two or more. Fred, our guide explains really well. He’s English is good! He is stern about being on time but it’s understandable. Guiding a whole bus of tourist could be really challenging if not everyone is on time. He jokes about leaving late people but always do a roll call like a mother hen. Overall, this is a great deal that gave me a great experience!

Bus seat spacing is quite tight. Bus leaves on time. Enough time to explore the place on our own. We used the cable cars for both way up and down (CNY 120 each) and climb the wall from number 14-20. Lunch at the bus stop was nice but expensive. Tour guide Leo is friendly and has lots of info. This time of the year, not too many tourist so pretty good.

Qiang is an experience guide. He gave us tips on climbing and where to look out for great views. Mutianyu is easy to climb except for tower 20. Lunch was great for our taste after completing the climb.
